Swanlake Bay

Just a 20-minute walk from Coastland, this remote beach is peaceful and rarely busy. It’s mostly shingle, but reveals soft sand at low tide. You’ll get sweeping views of Stackpole Head, and if you’re lucky, spot a seal bobbing in the surf.

Presipe Bay

This one’s all about the timing. Presipe is only accessible at low tide, and it’s worth checking the tide tables before you go. When conditions are right, the golden sands and dramatic cliffs make it one of Pembrokeshire’s best-kept secrets.

Lydstep Caverns

Freshwater East (left side)

Most people stay on the right-hand side of the beach near the car park. But if you walk left and along the beach, you’ll find a quieter, wider stretch of sand. It’s ideal for a beach day. At low tide there are some great sandy pools for the kids to splash around in too.

Church door cove

With a steep staircase down and no facilities, this spot isn’t for everyone — but that’s why it’s so special. Rugged, remote and incredibly beautiful, especially at low tide. Even the view from the top is worth the walk.
